Something old

After updating my digital logs I had a browse through some old work and feel quite nostalgic, and as always work looks so much better after its been tucked away for awhile. So I thought I would do a few posts on some of my favourite pieces.

Starting with a garment shape from second year. 

Selecting fabric

 

 

Today I have started with sourcing fabrics, or selcting and testing my sourced fabrics. I want to use natural fabrics that hang well and hold a nice shape. Mixing light wools, a variety of silks and even velvet; I want to display a diverse mix of texture among my fabric choices creating a layered effect within my collection.
